Cool new products: Trade shows are where it’s at.
In the design industry, it’s important to be in-the-know when it comes to cool new products and where best to learn about them but at trade shows. Some people love attending networking events like I love attending trade shows, perhaps it’s the nerd in me!
Hospitality Design Expo is hosted once a year at Mandalay Bay’s Convention Center in Las Vegas. With JJ and I both having experience with commercial and restaurant design, we feel attending HD Expo is important in order to keep up with the trends. We have a tendency to use commercial rated products in residential applications due to durability, such as wallcoverings. Since attending the show, we’ve had several people inquire about what our new favorite products are that we saw at the show so we’re here to share them with you…
1. Ann Sacks – Itai Bar-on: handcrafted dimensional concrete tiles
There are a couple different designs and colorways in which these tiles are sold. They are meant for interior wall applications.
2. Plum – Super-automatic countertop wine appliance
It holds 2 standard 750 millilter bottles of wine, identifies the wine, individually chills each bottle based on the varietal, and preserves the wine for up to 90 days. Yes, you read that correctly 90 days!
3. My Mosaic – Nano-polymer Mosaic Tile
Mosaic tile designs continue to evolve. My mosaic is no exception with their creative organic shapes and image printing capabilities.
There you have it. Our top 3 favories from this year’s HD Expo! See not all things that happen in Vegas stay in Vegas 😉
